i am terrified of hospitalization. the only major surgery i've had was the c-section six months ago. i'm in graduate school now. i paint and i feed the baby and i just got back from presenting a paper on relational aesthetics to a small group of people who don't really care.
i'm not a very strange person, i suppose, and i hope that doesn't disappoint you. i went to boarding school, then to the University of Alabama. during my senior year of undergrad, i married my high-school sweetheart who is now an IT specialist. we like to go on walks together with our dog and we listened to bill clinton's autobiography on a long road trip this weekend.
i am sometimes chastised by professors for not being narcissistic enough to survive as an artist--most of my paintings are small and i prefer to talk about the work of friends rather than talking about myself.
i've rarely been out of the southeast and spend 90% of my life barefoot.
i sleep quite a bit and have a wonderful mattress. i have nightmares about hurricanes. i keep a half-dozen sketchbooks and four blogs.
i know a few people in portland. it must be a wonderful place.
it's nice to meet you. perhaps we will become good friends someday.
portland's ok. it's very white. i'm originally from los angeles.
sleeping is good. i will never ever tell someone otherwise.
i will look forward to getting to know you! there seemed to be a lot of nice people in that community. i'm glad some people gave me a chance. i kind of knew my application would get me in trouble. but they really are honestly my favorite authors. too bad it does read like a high school reading list haha.
